The project to create a diverse school garden was successfully completed.
Within a very short time, there was a large number of registrations, and not a single seat ever went unfilled, reflecting the participants’ genuine interest. First, the project was planned in detail during a joint site visit. Through (pedagogically supported) work in small groups, each group was able to take on different areas of responsibility. Through the evaluation, it became clear that this aspect in particular brought the participants great joy and, moreover, that a pleasant learning and working atmosphere prevailed at all times. This project made a significant contribution, particularly to the development of teamwork skills, as this type of educational work was unfortunately neglected during the COVID-19 pandemic. This made it all the more important to involve the children and youth in environmental education through this project and to foster a sense of community, which was fortunately created and strengthened by this initiative.
So this project was a huge success: environmental education and pure nature!
