Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that are downloaded to your device when you visit our website and that store the aforementioned information about you. They do not cause any harm. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to reject all cookies or to notify you when a cookie is sent; however, if you reject cookies, you will not be able to log in to the services or use our services to their full extent. You can find more information about cookies and how they work, which cookies have been set on your computer or mobile device, and how to manage and delete them at http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

Web Analytics – Google Analytics

This website uses the “Google Analytics” service, provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA), based on our legitimate interests in optimizing and analyzing our online offering in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The service (Google Analytics) uses “cookies”—text files that are stored on your device. The information collected by the cookies is generally sent to a Google server in the United States and stored there.

Google LLC complies with European data protection laws and is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework:

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

This website uses IP anonymization. Users’ IP addresses are truncated within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area, as well as in the other signatory states to the Agreement. Only in rare cases is the IP address first transmitted in full to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. This truncation ensures that your IP address cannot be linked to you personally. The user’s IP address transmitted by the browser is not combined with other data stored by Google.

Under the data processing agreement that we, as the website operator, have entered into with Google Inc., Google uses the collected information to analyze website usage and activity and to provide services related to internet usage.

The data collected by Google on our behalf is used to analyze how individual users interact with our website, for example, to generate reports on website activity and to improve our website.

You can prevent cookies from being stored on your device by adjusting the settings in your browser. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to access all features of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies.

You can also use a browser plugin to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to Google Inc. and used by Google Inc. The following link will take you to the plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Alternatively, you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about you on this website by clicking this link (IMPORTANT: Insert opt-out link). Clicking the link above will download an “opt-out cookie.” Your browser must therefore generally allow cookies to be stored. If you regularly delete your cookies, you will need to click the link again each time you visit this website.

Here you will find more information about how Google Inc. uses data:

https://adssettings.google.de/authenticated (Einstellungen über Werbung, die Ihnen angezeigt wird)

https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de (Verwendung von Cookies in Anzeigen)

Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts on our website. These are the “Google fonts” provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).

You do not need to sign in or provide a password to use Google Fonts. Furthermore, no cookies are stored in your browser. The files (CSS, fonts) are requested via the Google domains fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. According to Google, requests for CSS and fonts are completely separate from all other Google services. If you have a Google account, you don’t need to worry that your Google account data will be transmitted to Google while using Google Fonts. Google tracks the use of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and the fonts used and stores this data securely. We’ll take a closer look at exactly how this data is stored.

Social media plugins

Facebook

Based on our legitimate interest in analyzing, optimizing, and operating our online platform (within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), this website uses the Facebook social plugin, which is operated by Facebook Inc. (1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA). These integrations can be identified by the Facebook logo or the terms “Like,” “Gefällt mir,” and “Share” in Facebook’s colors (blue and white). Information on all Facebook plugins can be found via the following link: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

Facebook Inc. complies with European data protection laws and is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework:

https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active

The plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and Facebook's servers. The website operator has no control over the nature or scope of the data that the plugin transmits to Facebook Inc.'s servers. You can find more information here: https://www.facebook.com/help/186325668085084

The plugin informs Facebook Inc. that you, as a user, have visited this website. There is a possibility that your IP address will be stored. If you are logged into your Facebook account while visiting this website, the aforementioned information will be linked to your account.

If you use the plugin’s features—such as sharing or “liking” a post—the relevant information will also be transmitted to Facebook Inc. If you wish to prevent Facebook Inc. from linking this data to your Facebook account, please log out of Facebook before visiting this website and delete the stored cookies. Through your Facebook profile, you can adjust further settings regarding data processing for advertising purposes or object to the use of your data for advertising purposes. You can access the settings here:

You can read about what data Facebook collects, uses, and processes; for what purposes and to what extent; and what rights and settings you have to protect your privacy in Facebook’s Privacy Policy. You can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/

We operate a so-called fan page on the Facebook platform. When you visit our fan page, data may be collected for market research and advertising purposes and stored in user profiles using pseudonyms. Cookies are also set here, which allow us, for example, to conduct statistical analyses. This serves our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in an optimized presentation (for more information on the legal basis, see below). Data processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement between joint controllers pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR, which you can view here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum.

For detailed information regarding Facebook’s data processing practices, contact information, and your rights, please refer to Facebook’s Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. You can also exercise your right to object there.

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework and thereby guarantees compliance with European data protection laws (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active).

Facebook Pixel Privacy Policy

We use the Facebook Pixel on our website. To do this, we have implemented a code snippet on our website. The Facebook Pixel is a snippet of JavaScript code that loads a set of functions allowing Facebook to track your user actions if you arrived at our website via Facebook Ads. For example, if you purchase a product on our website, the Facebook Pixel is triggered and stores your actions on our website in one or more cookies. These cookies allow Facebook to match your user data (customer data such as IP address, user ID) with the data from your Facebook account. Facebook then deletes this data. The collected data is anonymous to us and cannot be viewed by us; it is used solely for the purpose of displaying advertisements. If you are a Facebook user and are logged in, your visit to our website is automatically associated with your Facebook user account.

We want to show our services and products only to those people who are genuinely interested in them. With the help of Facebook Pixel, our advertising campaigns can be better tailored to your preferences and interests. This way, Facebook users (provided they have enabled personalized ads) see ads that are relevant to them. Facebook also uses the collected data for analytical purposes and to create its own ads.

Below, we list the cookies that were set by embedding Facebook pixels on a test page. Please note that these are only example cookies. Different cookies are set depending on your interaction with our website.

Twitter

Our website incorporates features from the Twitter service. These features are provided by Twitter, Inc., located at 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. When you use Twitter and the “Retweet” feature, the websites you visit are linked to your Twitter account and shared with other users. Data is also transmitted to Twitter in the process. Please note that as the provider of these pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Twitter. For more information, please refer to Twitter’s Privacy Policy at http://twitter.com/privacy.
You can adjust your privacy settings on Twitter in your account settings at http://twitter.com/account/settingsändern.

Instagram

We have integrated Instagram features into our website. Instagram is a social media platform operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Rd, Menlo Park CA 94025, USA. Instagram has been a subsidiary of Facebook Inc. since 2012 and is one of Facebook’s products. The integration of Instagram content on our website is called embedding. This allows us to display content such as buttons, photos, or videos from Instagram directly on our website. When you visit pages on our website that have an integrated Instagram feature, data is transmitted to Instagram, stored, and processed. Instagram uses the same systems and technologies as Facebook. Your data is therefore processed across all Facebook companies.

Instagram Privacy Policy: http://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

YouTube

We have embedded YouTube videos on our website. This allows us to present interesting videos directly on our site. YouTube is a video portal that has been a subsidiary of Google LLC since 2006. The video portal is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page on our website that has an embedded YouTube video, your browser automatically connects to the servers of YouTube or Google. In the process, various data is transmitted (depending on your settings). Google is responsible for all data processing, and Google’s privacy policy therefore applies.

Below, we’ll explain in more detail what data is processed, why we’ve embedded YouTube videos, and how you can manage or delete your data.

As soon as you visit one of our pages that includes an embedded YouTube video, YouTube sets at least one cookie that stores your IP address and our URL. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can usually associate your interactions on our website with your profile using cookies. This includes data such as session duration, bounce rate, approximate location, and technical information such as browser type, screen resolution, or your internet service provider. Additional data may include contact information, any ratings, sharing content via social media, or adding it to your favorites on YouTube.

If you are not signed in to a Google or YouTube account, Google stores data using a unique identifier linked to your device, browser, or app. This ensures that your preferred language setting, for example, is retained. However, much of your interaction data cannot be stored because fewer cookies are set.

The following list shows the cookies that were set during a test in the browser. We show, on the one hand, cookies that are set without a logged-in YouTube account. On the other hand, we show cookies that are set with a logged-in account. This list is not exhaustive, as user data always depends on interactions on YouTube.
