On this page, you can sign up for the art contest. Please fill out the section below and the information sheet. Find an old shoe—any kind will do: a boot, a low-top shoe, a sandal, or any other type of shoe… …and let’s get started on our new contest challenge!! This year, your task is to create a fantasy animal out of an old, unworn shoe. The old shoe should be transformed into a fantasy animal according to your own ideas. Use lots of different craft and decorative materials and let your creativity run wild… Rules & Judging Criteria: • Students in grades 1 through 6 from any school are eligible to participate • The shoe-animals must be conceived and designed entirely by you! • Be sure to give your shoe animal a name (write it on the information sheet) • The old shoe should still be (at least partially) recognizable in the end!
School Workshop:
You can also make your own imaginary shoe animal in our art teacher’s school workshop. The workshop is free and open to all students every Wednesday from January 17 to February 7, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please bring an old shoe with you if possible.
Deadline:
February 9, 2024 (at the Mindeltal Schools office—please note the office hours)
IMPORTANT:
Please don't forget to submit the "shoe" along with the completed information sheet (available on our website) to enter the contest!
Awards Ceremony:
