“What a show!”

…The stage is set for your fantasy story!

This year, you'll step into the role of a set designer!

Design a stage featuring a scene from a story you've made up!

It could, for example, be from a favorite book or movie, or depict a vacation experience.

There are no limits to your imagination!

Here's what you need to keep in mind:

  • The stage and walls of the theater should be designed to match your story (=theatrical scene)
  • Your stage should feature characters, such as people, animals, mythical creatures, fantasy characters, etc.
  • All items and figures must be handmade!
  • No store-bought plastic or wooden figures may be used
  • Give the play a title! (Please write this on the information sheet that you must submit along with your artwork. The information sheet is also available on our website.)

What do you need?

  • A suitable cardboard box (about the size of a shoebox)
  • Fabrics, ribbons, paints, paper, pencils, glue, playdough, modeling clay…
  • Ideas and imagination
